Its Ok Thursday

So it is Thursday again so that means it is time to link up with Neely for Its Ok Thursdays.

ITS OK:

That I haven't blogged since Monday.  I have had a migraine and didn't feel like it.

That I can't wait for Saturday so I can go to the Mardi Gras parade.

That I think my wedding is more important than watching tornados on TV.

That I am falling more in love with this man and think that he is pretty much perfect

If you don't know the story this little girl was on Youtube crying cause she wanted to marry JJ Watt, so he found out who she was and arranged a meeting and asked her to be his wife for the day!!!  Most amazing football player EVER!!!!  

That I wish I could make a Youtube video about wanting to marry JJ Watt and he would come and find me.  Hahahaha

That Dustin would just have to get over it if JJ Watt wanted me to be his wife for the day.

That I think my bestfriend is the best bestfriend in the world!  She made my flowergirls dresses!

That I drink Redbull like it is going out of style....No wait that part is not ok!  YIKES!!

That I am ready for Duck Dynasty to be back.  I miss Si, Jace, Willie, and Phil!!

Weekend in San Antonio

Oh goody...it is Monday again!!  I had such a fun weekend and was very sad to see it end.  BUT I am excited for this next weekend as well....it is Mardi Gras in Galveston!  I am linking up with Sami for Weekend Update!

Friday night I drove back home from my grandparent's house.  I picked up Ashton from school and was so happy to see him.  I miss that crazy little man when I am gone.  Then Dustin, Ashton, and I went and picked up Callie for the weekend.  We stopped at a car dealership and bought an 05 Ford Expedition!  I am in love with it!!    We didn't do much Friday night and had the kids go to bed early because we were waking up at 5:30 Saturday morning for a surprise road trip.

Saturday we woke up and told the kids to get in the car so we could go to "Houston".  If you don't know where I live, I am only about 30 mins from Houston.  So we all pile up into the expedition and started driving.  After about 2 hours of driving they finally clicked to the fact that we were not going to Houston....Ha ha but they still had no idea where we were going.  Here are some pics from where we went....

My friend Triana came to visit me while we were down.  She lives about 30 mins from San Antonio.  It was great seeing her!

Our hotel the Hilton Palacio Del Rio.  It was a beautiful hotel!!  And it was right on the Riverwalk.

It was such a fun weekend!  My legs HATE me today lol we walked all over San Antonio.  I wish that we had stayed longer than a day, but we will go back again.  Our next big trip is to Virgina and Washington DC in March!  

Happies and Crappies

Happy Friday!!  I am linking up with Sarah and Steph for Happies and Crappies today. 

Happies:

I went to my grandparent's house on Tuesday and came home today.  I always enjoy going to see and spend time with my Mamaw and Papaw.  They are both in their 80s so I want to spend as much time with them as I can.

I was given a $50.00 savings bond that my grandparents had bought for me in 1983, and it is now worth $113.00!!  Woo Hoo hello wedding money!!!

I am about to spend the entire weekend with Ashton, Callie, and Dustin!!  I have missed my little family while I was out of town.

I am going to co-host a link up on Feb 2nd and it will be about my favorite subject....FOOTBALL!!

While I was gone Dustin was busy looking at houses and we are going to look at a few of them.


Crappies:

I really missed my family while I was gone.

I worried all day yesterday about something I had no control over and I totally lost my appetite and didn't eat all day.  I woke up starving today ha ha.

My brother is coming to pick up Abby tomorrow and I am going to miss my fur niece!

For some reason my Target wedding registry won't show up on the kiosk....I am gonna have to fix that.

I have a TERRIBLE crick in my neck!  YUCK!!

I can't go to the Houston Blogger meetup this weekend.  :-(
 

Its Ok Thursday

To really wanna see New Kids on the Block when they come to Houston.
To already be excited about meeting two awesome bloggers...even if we don't have the plans lined up yet.  Ha ha
To have a TON of things on my wedding registries.
To be hungry but not to know what I want to eat.
To not know what I was thinking when Full House was my favorite show...it is pretty silly.
To drink Emergen C every morning....I don't wanna get sick
To worry about things I have no control over To trust God and know that he has everything in control.
To listen to the FUN cd on repeat. 

The Facts of me

Today I am linking up with my girl Whitney@I Wore Yoga Pants to Work for The Facts of Me link up.  Have you ever gone to a theme park and had your mind blown by some of the amazing facts that you learn?  That was the brainchild to this link up.  So without further ado I would like to welcome you all to the:

1. I am afraid of puffer fish!  Ha ha I know that I have talked about this before and it is soooo true!

2. I am an Apple product whore lover.  I still haven't gotten an iPhone 5, but it will happen.

3. If I could decorate my entire house in Fleur de lis, pink, and Houston Texans things I would be happy.

4. I can't stand driving cars.  I love my CR-V.  I don't like to feel like I am sitting on the ground while driving.

5. Pit bulls are my all time favorite breed of dog.  I have had 2 and they were the sweetest and most amazing dogs every.  My dog now is a Rottie mix and I love her so very much.  I love big dogs if you can't tell.

6. I had my son Ashton in 2 1/2 hours from start to finish.  All Most of my labor was in the truck ride to the hospital.  I got to the hospital at 7am and had him at 7:46!!  Ha ha oh and I had NO DRUGS!

7. Please don't tell my girl Whitney but I just don't like the taste of wine.  I have tried several kinds, but I don't like any of them  Which sucks cause I really want to be a wine drinker.  BUT I am not giving up hope, I know that one day I will find a wine that I love!

8. I love Football and the Houston Texans more than any girl should.  I can talk football as good as any man can.  And it still shocks people that I know as much as I do.

9. I am pretty sure that I was born to be a Disney Princess.  Disney is another thing that I love more than any 25 and holding 31 year old woman should.

10. I am unbelievably ADD and I get distracted very easily by pretty much anything.

11. I cry when I get super angry.  I cry when I am super happy.  Ha ha I cry when things are sweet.  You don't even wanna watch an episode of Coming Home with me cause I am a blubbering mess!

12. I have Tombstone and Empire Records totally memorized and watch them anytime they are on tv.  I am sorry, but I am not sorry ha ha Val Kilmer is the sexiest Doc Holiday EVER!!!  Mmmm "I'm your huckleberry".  Le Swoon!!

13. I would rather watch old movies than new ones. Breakfast at Tiffany's, Bringing Up Baby, Philadelphia Story, My Fair Lady, and Singin' in the Rain are just a few of my favorites.

14. Duck Dynasty, Big Rich Texas, and Pit Bulls and Parolees are my guilty pleasure shows.

15. You can tell if I am angry by looking at my left foot.  I shake it like a mad woman when I am mad.  I don't mean to, it just happens.  I try to stop myself, but most of the time I don't even realize that I am doing it.   

16. Cigarette ashes make me sick.  I hate looking at them, I hate the way they smell, and I HATE the sound of cigarettes being put out in a bunch of ashes.  I have now idea why I despise them so much, but I do.  Good thing I am a non-smoker lol!   

Ha ha soooo did I totally blow your mind??!!  I hope you enjoyed reading my facts as much as I enjoyed writing them. 

Weekend Update!

Oh goody it is Monday....again!  Ha ha actually Monday has never actually bothered me.  I am linking up today with Sami@Sami's Shenanigans for Weekend Update.  I have never linked up with her so I am pretty excited.

This weekend was pretty non-eventful.  My son went to his dad's house so I didn't have him to hang out with.  Then Dustin was working, so I didn't get to see him!  Talk about lame sauce!

I did go to Hobby Lobby to get wedding stuff.  I am sooooo excited about my bouquet!  My friend Robbie is making it out of ribbon and fabric!  Yes that is right she is making all the flowers by hand!  It is going to be beautiful.  Here are 2 bouquets that she just did for another wedding.  Mine will have some pink and black mixed in it since those are my colors.

I love how she did them and I can't wait to see mine!!

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I am dog sitting my fur niece Abby while my brother and his family are in Colorado.  I am normally a big dog kinda girl, but this little doxie has a special place in my heart!

I mean seriously who wouldn't fall in love with her sweet face?!?  All day Sunday she cuddled with me while I watched football and worked on my blog.  She almost makes me want a small dog.



Today Dustin and I are taking Ashton and Callie to a wildlife park!  I think I am just as excited as the kids!  I hope that everyone has a great Monday!! 

Sunday Confessions

Good morning and happy Sunday!!  It is a foggy and rather COLD day here in Texas.  I am linking up with Alyx@Every Day is a New Adventure for Sunday Confessions. 

I Confess That:

1. I cried last week when the Texans lost.  I couldn't help it.  We had such an amazing season and I hated that we didn't make it to the Super Bowl.  I hate the Patriots, and I hope they get their butts handed to them today by the Ravens. 

2.
I slept like crap last night because I didn't want to disturb my fur-niece Abby, who was sleeping so soundly in my arms. 

The picture was taken at like 4 this morning...I just didn't have the heart to move her. 

3. I DVR ed Aladdin, Cinderella, and Lady and the Tramp yesterday.  Disney movies > all other movies. 

4. Despite what my lady at David's Bridal says, I WILL be dying my shoes begonia!!  She told me I couldn't cause she wanted my shoes to be elegant...well it is my wedding and I want pink shoes, END of story!

5.  I spent 2 1/2 at Hobby Lobby getting things for my wedding and I could have spent 4 more hours in there.  I love Hobby Lobby. 

6.  I hate weekends that Ashton is gone and Dustin is working.  I miss my boys.  Oh and to make it worse, this weekend my nephew is in Colorado so I don't even have him to hang out with!! 


So those are my confessions.  Ha ha I feel much better now!

Happies and Crappies

I am super excited about Stephanie and Sarah's new link up Happies and Crappies!!  It is going to be a lot of fun to talk about all the happy and crappy things that happen during the week. 

Happies:
1. I have figured out what my centerpieces for my wedding are going to be!  They are simple but so beautiful!! 
2. We bought Dustin's wedding band yesterday!! Woo Hoo that is such a relief!!
3. I picked out my bridemaids dresses!

  4. I got a new iPhone that actually works!!  Ha ha mine has been messing up for a few months, and I finally got me a new one!  YAY!!!  

Crappies:
1. I was getting into the tub last night and I slipped and hit my leg on the tub and now I have a sore leg and a massive bruise.
2. Ashton is sick and missed school today.  He has a sinus infection and is super congested.  
3. I can't find a photographer that I like....the one I did find is currently in the hospital about to have surgery.  I hope that she gets better soon, and even though she said that she can do it, I am not gonna push her!
4. It is a beautiful weekend and Ashton is going to his dad's and Dustin is working all weekend...so I have no one to go and do things with.  
       

Hi I am Dani and I am....

  Time to get a little real.  It is not even a big deal, just something that I have been dealing with my entire life.  I am severely ADD.  It is really bad ha ha like if you could see my laptop right now, you would see that I have 15 pages up that I keep flipping through.  I can't help it.  I get bored way to fast so I look at lots of things to keep my mind entertained.  The ONLY time that my mind slows down is when I am reading a book.  I don't know what it is about books that slow my mind down.  Maybe it is because they are always changing, all books are different.

  I have lived for 31 years being ADD and I like myself.  I was advised recently to get on meds for my ADD....and I don't want to.  I won't get on meds.  I think that I am perfectly functional.  Yeah I am super scatter brained and I go from one topic to the next back to the original topic in a matter of minutes.  I also don't want to take anything that will change me.  I am a fun, outgoing, and crazy person and I think that meds would change that.  Actually I know that meds would change that. 

  When I was younger it was not the norm to diagnose kids with ADD and put them on meds.  So my parents didn't know there was anything wrong with me.  They just knew that I could not stay focused on my school work.  They were told that I was immature for my age, which may have been true, but it was the ADD that was the actual issue.  Because of this I am super super impulsive!  Ha ha if I see it and I want it...I don't even think about it I just get it......Which is a problem by the way.  And if you have read my blog you will notice that I don't stay on track very well...I jump all over the place.  It has taken me over an hour to write this because I keep going to Pinterest, FB, texting, and reading other blogs.  LOL I can't help it!!

  Ok I think that is all I feel like boring ya'll with right now!  I hope that ya'll have a great Thursday!! 

LETS GOOOOO TEXANS!!!!!

Woo my Texans are playing the Patriots in 2 hours!!  I can't wait for the game.  Last time we played them we were embarrassed, but I am not gonna worry about the past!  I hope that my boys come out and play HARD!!!  GOOOOOO TEXANS!!!!!  BULLS ON PARADE!!!!

Dear Dress,
I love love love you!!!  You are beautiful and you make me feel beautiful.  I can't wait to wear you in at my wedding.

Dear Weather,
I am so very very tired of the rain.  I had one day of sunshine and now you are going to rain for the next 4 days??!!  What the heck is that about?

Dear Ashton,
I am so proud of you and the grades that you are making.  You are going to look so handsome in the wedding. 

Dear Self,
GET MORE SLEEP!!!  There is no reason to stay up so late!!  You need sleep!!

I found my wedding dress!!!!

Oh wow!  First thing is first on Monday I had 157 followers and now I am at 222!!  Hi to all my amazing new followers!!  I hope that you enjoy my little blog. 

Ok like the title of the blog said, I FOUND MY WEDDING DRESS!!!!  I am beyond excited!  The dress is amazing and so me!  I got my tiara (Yeah I am that girl), shoes, bra, a-line slip, and dress all at the same time and all on sale!  Ha ha I am so relieved.  The dress I got is actually the very first dress that I tried on the first time that I went and looked for dresses.  That day I could not buy it, and figured I better go and look for other dresses.  And actually I found another dress that I really liked, but I could never get my dress out of my mind.  So when I went back on Monday I was so worried that it would be gone, but I got the very last one!!  Sidney, the lady who helped me, was telling me while she was helping me put the dress on that another bride had come in 3 days before me looking for my dress, Sidney looked and looked for 45 mins for the dress and could not find it anywhere!  She said that her and 2 other workers looked for it all over the store and it was no where to be found, so the bride picked out a different dress.  Then on Monday, before she even knew that I was coming in, she was putting another dress up and my dress was right there in plain view!!  She said that the dress had chosen me and was hiding until I came back for it!  Ha ha I thought that was pretty neat!

So I posted this blog poll on instagram a little bit ago.

And everyone told me to WAIT!!!  AHHHHH I don't wait well, but I will wait!  Instead I am going to show ya'll the 3 other dresses that I tried on! 
Here is the first dress from Bridal Impressions that I tried on.  I liked it, but just not on me.  I didn't like the shape...I felt just very blah in it.

Here is the second dress from Bridal Impressions.  I was NOT happy with it at all!!  It made me feel so frumpy...and I don't think that frumpy is what you are going for at your wedding.  LOL

Here is the third and last dress that I tried on, I really really liked this dress.  This one made me feel pretty.  I called this one my Belle dress, cause I felt like Belle from Beauty and the Beast.  Sorry these are a little blurry.

The dress that I did get looks NOTHING like any of those dresses.  Ha ha it is a totally different style and it is perfect!  I can't wait to be able to show ya'll my dress!
