Oh, How Pinteresting!! Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!  I love Halloween and even though I will be in school tonight and not taking my son trick or treating I will still be dressing up.  I am going to wear bat ears to class...ha ha I am a mature one for sure!!

Irrational Fears

A week ago I posted this picture on my instagram feed and got quite a few fun replies.

 

I have a very valid irrational fear of Puffer Fish!  They scare the HELL out of me!  I don't know what it is about them but I have freak out when I see them.  My family and friends think it is really funny to point out every puffer fish they see.  My parents went on a cruise and paid $14.00 for the drink of the day just so they could bring me this cup!

 Joke is on them though...cause I think she is cute!  They also like to text me pictures of them...NOT NICE!!  Here is a list of some valid irrational fears that people commented with. 

Puffer fish of death!  He just looks like he is smiling but really he wants to eat your soul!

Spiders was said several times!  And I am gonna have to agree they are scary scary creatures!

Clowns was also a very popular one.  While I am not scared of them...they are not my favorite things.

Getting Old.  I don't think that getting old is a bad thing...it means you are still alive!

Bees and Wasps.  Evil evil creatures!!  As one friend put it "They're horrible and want to hurt you."

Touching the inside of a toilet.  Ha ha not gonna lie I giggled a bit when I saw this one...but heck who am I to judge a fear?!?!

Chickens.  I think they are kinda cute.

Losing a child.  Totally valid fear!!  This is a fear of mine as well.

Mommy Envy....Well not really

Where in the HECK was Pinterest when my son was younger??  There are so many cute reveal,  nursery, birthday, photography, ect...ideas!  My son has decided that he is to big for stuff like that, he is 10.  Sometimes I look on blogs and see all the cute things that moms are doing for their kiddos and I get mommy envy.  I wish that I could have done some of those things while Ashton was growing up.  I am not a very crafty person LOL but I know that with the help of Pinterest I would have done so many things for him.  BUT I did the best that I could for Ashton.  He has had a great childhood.  So I guess even with all the things that I didn't do....I made up with fun things that we did do.  He has been to Disney twice, he has been on a cruise, he has been on multiple vacations.  So I guess I don't really have mommy envy, cause I have been and will continue to be a great momma!!  Ha ha this post is all over the place, does it even make sense?

So speaking of things that I have done with Ashton, this Saturday was full of fun!!  It started with Ashton singing at a retirement community with the 5th grade choir.  Then after that we drove out to George Ranch Historical Park for the Texian Market days.  My son and my nephew had a BLAST!!  The ranch is set up for you to travel through the 1830s, 1860s, 1890s and 1930s.  There are battle reenactments, vintage baseball, medicine shows, and lots of other fun activities.  We stayed there pretty much all day.  After we left there we went to the Alvin Community College Fall Festival.  They had tons of games for the boys to play and they came away with a ton of candy.  After that we went to the Santa Fe High School's Candy Fest!  Ha ha cause they needed more candy.  Candy Fest was a lot of fun.  The different HS clubs decorate the hallways and then all the students dress up in the theme of their hallway and hand out candy.  After you go through the hallways you go into the cafeteria and they have a bunch of games.  Needless to say the boys came home with a TON of candy!

Sunday Blog Day??

Happy Sunday everyone!!  I should be at the Houston Air Show right now but Ashton woke up at 3:00 this morning telling me that he was sick.  He has been in bed all day with the stomach virus...YUCK!!  So I have decided that today would be a blog day!  I am going to work on making some posts for the week.  And since there is no football on today, Read: Texans are on their Bye Week so are not playing, I will not be distracted.  I mean don't get me wrong I am still watching football lol just don't really care about who wins.  Well I hope that everyone has a great Sunday!!

I am not mad or even upset anymore about your loss to the Packers.  Now that ya'll have lost a game and the pressure of being undefeated is gone lets get back to the AWESOME team that I know ya'll are!  Ya'll play the Ravens this week and lets call this game revenge for the playoff game that they won against us.  Get out there and kick butt!!

Hi, I am Dani and I am addicted...

Pumpkin Painting Party

I have seen pins all over pinterest of painted pumpkins and thought to myself that it looked easy and would be fun for my son and nephew.  So on Sunday morning we had a pumpkin painting party!!  I was right, the boys and my boyfriend's daughter LOVED it!  They had a blast making a mess painting the pumpkins.  I decided that I wanted to get in on the fun also so I painted 3 pumpkins of my own.  In the end we painted 14 pumpkins!!  I have put all of them on our entertainment center for some fun Halloween decorations.  Here are some instagram pics of our pumpkin painting party!!
