Weekend in San Antonio

Oh goody...it is Monday again!!  I had such a fun weekend and was very sad to see it end.  BUT I am excited for this next weekend as well....it is Mardi Gras in Galveston!  I am linking up with Sami for Weekend Update!

Friday night I drove back home from my grandparent's house.  I picked up Ashton from school and was so happy to see him.  I miss that crazy little man when I am gone.  Then Dustin, Ashton, and I went and picked up Callie for the weekend.  We stopped at a car dealership and bought an 05 Ford Expedition!  I am in love with it!!    We didn't do much Friday night and had the kids go to bed early because we were waking up at 5:30 Saturday morning for a surprise road trip.

Saturday we woke up and told the kids to get in the car so we could go to "Houston".  If you don't know where I live, I am only about 30 mins from Houston.  So we all pile up into the expedition and started driving.  After about 2 hours of driving they finally clicked to the fact that we were not going to Houston....Ha ha but they still had no idea where we were going.  Here are some pics from where we went....

First stop was at Buc-ee's in Luling.

Standing on the balcony of our hotel.

The kiddos in front of The Alamo!  Callie had never been and Ashton was super young when I took him.  They loved it.

Dustin and I.  I promise even though he is not smiling...he is happy.  LOL

We went and had lunch at Dick's Last Resort.  Ha ha I loved the hats!

LOL the kids in their hats.
My friend Triana came to visit me while we were down.  She lives about 30 mins from San Antonio.  It was great seeing her!

LOL Triana and her hunny Troy.  We were being dorks.

Dustin pondering life....LOL
Our hotel the Hilton Palacio Del Rio.  It was a beautiful hotel!!  And it was right on the Riverwalk.

It was such a fun weekend!  My legs HATE me today lol we walked all over San Antonio.  I wish that we had stayed longer than a day, but we will go back again.  Our next big trip is to Virgina and Washington DC in March!

I love Buccees!!! Aww man, I am going to miss that place now when I take road trips. You know, in my almost 10 years in Texas, I never went to visit the Alamo. Looks like you guys had fun!
